Edward Ralph Clark, age 81

Edward Ralph Clark of 116 Webster Street, Hartford, was born March 23, 1863 in East Granby, son of Sarah Grace (Skinner) and Calvin Owen Clark.  He was found dead with his wife Emily at the circus grounds after the fire on July 6, and they were buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford after services at the James T. Pratt Company Chapel.  Their daughter Grace was also injured at the circus fire and would die from her injuries on July 24.  Edward leaves two sons, Howard D. Clark of Hartford and Whitney D. Clark of Boston, and a sister Mrs. Fred Meyers of York, Pennsylvania. 

Body #1543 was identified as Edward Clark at the State Armory by Dr. Madden and Dr. H.E. Snow on July 6.  Mr. Clark's estate was awarded $6,500 by the arbitration board.
