Mary Jane Gallucci, age 5
Miss Mary Jane Gallucci of 106 Edwards Street, Hartford, was born May 14, 1939 in Hartford, daughter of Hartford natives Ruth (Hogan) and John Gallucci. She was found dead at the circus grounds after the fire on July 6 and buried at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield after services at Laraia & Sagarino Funeral Home. Miss Gallucci's grandmother Rose Gallucci was also a victim of the circus fire, as well as her aunt Katherine DeNezzo, 35, and cousin Joseph DeNezzo, Jr., 3. Mary leaves her parents and no siblings.
Body #4505 was identified as Mary Jane Gallucci at the State Armory on July 7 by her uncle, Joseph DeNezzo. Miss Gallucci's estate was awarded $6,500 by the arbitration board. Mary Jane was originally buried with grandmother Rose Gallucci; she was disinterred and buried with her mother, Ruth (Hogan) Gallucci, in the Hogan plot at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery.
