Interview with Robert Segee, 1993

In 1993, Connecticut State Police detectives interviewed Robert Dale Segee at his home in Ohio, questioning him primarily about his previous confession to setting the Hartford Circus Fire 49 years earlier, on July 6, 1944.  Segee confessed to numerous crimes, include arson and murder, while in care of Ohio authorities and psychiatrists in 1950.  His questionable confession to setting the circus fire was retracted later in 1950, and he continued to maintain his innocence to Connecticut detectives in 1993.  Robert Segee died in 1997, about 4 years after this interview.

The audio recording of this interview is presented here, with subtitles and images to illustrate parts of the interview.
