Esther Edith (Hoffman) Kavalier, age 39

Mrs. Esther Edith (Hoffman) Kavalier, of 65 Griswold Drive, West Hartford, was born March 19, 1905, daughter of Lithuanian-born Mamie (Rome) and Russian-born Jacob Hoffman.  She was found injured at the circus grounds after the fire on July 6 and taken to Municipal Hospital where she died the following evening, July 7, at 6:30pm.  Mrs. Kavalier was buried at Emanuel Cemetery in Wethersfield after services at Weinstein Funeral Home on July 9.  She leaves her parents; her brothers, Herman C. and Zalman Hoffman; her husband, Samuel Kavalier, and their son, Morton Kavalier.  Their daughter, Sandra Kavalier, age 6, was also a victim of the circus fire.
